Last October, GEOCAP has delivered its first workshop with the theme 'Geothermal Reservoir Stimulation: Hydraulic Fracturing and Acidizing'. Institute Technology Bandung organised this workshop and invited members from industries such as Star Energy, Chevron, and Schlumberger.
The workshop was attended by approximately 80 participants from the industries and universities. There were eight presenters during the workshop coming from Chevron Geothermal Indonesia, IF Technology Netherlands, Star Energy Geothermal Indonesia, TNO Netherlands, Institute Technology Bandung, TU-Delft and Schlumberger. "The workshop was very successful, the participants were very enthusiast. They even asked to be invited to the next GEOCAP workshops" said Nenny Saptadji the chair of the organising committee.
Capacity building is the main theme of GEOCAP. In 2016, GEOCAP plans to hold more trainings and workshops in Indonesia with various state-of-the-art-themes in geothermal development inviting participants from government agencies, industries, academia and also local stakeholders.
