Geothermal energy is one of the most important renewable energy sources in Indonesia. Currently, high temperature geothermal energy is used to produce renewable electricity. Low/medium temperature geothermal energy (<200°C) is used only at a limited scale. However, low/medium temperature geothermal energy in Indonesia has very high potential. It can be used for direct heating (e.g. drying products and steam production in industry), for cooling (using sorption cooling) and for electricity production.
On Thursday 7 April 2016, GEOCAP will hold a workshop on the use of Low-Medium Enthalpy Geothermal Resources in Bandung. In the workshop you will learn about low/medium temperature geothermal energy, about the potential, about the opportunities, and best practices so far in Indonesia. At the end of the day a participatory session will be held to discuss discuss case specific opportunities, barriers involved and about how you could realize a real case project.
The workshop is intended for all companies involved in the chain of realization, such as geothermal operators, local government, project developers and end users.
Participation is free of charge and there are limited seats available!
